Porcelain is the most suitable clay for making ceramic jewellery. Fired to high temperature it reaches complete vitrification. Of a pure and peculiar white, it feels pleasant on the skin even unglazed.
In this three-day masterclass, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from internationally renowned ceramic artist Luca Tripaldi, whose work explores the extraordinary possibilities of porcelain in contemporary jewellery.

About
Luca Tripaldi is an Italian ceramic artist specialising in porcelain. Originally trained in graphic design, he spent ten years working as a sculptor in the theatrical world, creating masks and special effects for prestigious Italian opera houses including La Scala di Milano and Arena di Verona. His fascination with ceramics eventually led him to focus on high-temperature firing and porcelain, which became his preferred material for sculptures, decorative objects and contemporary jewellery. His work often combines porcelain with other materials such as brass and resin. Alongside his own artistic practice, Luca has an extensive teaching career and has taught workshops in Italy and internationally. Experimentation and teaching are closely connected in his practice, with a strong focus on making techniques understandable and giving students the confidence to continue exploring them independently.
